ON the 11th of April 2017, Enis suffered a non-fatal drowning. The initial prognosis from the doctors was bleak with no sign of life. For the past 4 years, Enis with the support of his mother and family endless fought the odd, sadly on Tuesday 5 October his mother save the heartbreaking news that Enis had passed away.
Sharing the sad news on the social media page Enis the Wonderchild Enis’s mother said:” Dearest Enis, There will never be a goodbye only see you soon as we are intensely connected. You have battled the unthinkable for 4.5 years & now it’s time to rest. It’s time for peace. From the moment you were born I called you my cherub & now you really are flying above me, always with me. Your smile, your tenacity, your fight will go down in history. Those you touched with your bravery & courageousness will forever remember you for the superhero you are. I’m the proudest mummy in the world. You taught me so much baby. From your 1st breath to your last I held you in my arms. You’re my wonderchild & I will continue to celebrate you. Love you for eternity my angel”
6-year-old Enis, the apple of the eye of the Turkish Cypriot family, fell into the pool of their house in Muğla on April 11, 2017. At that time, little Enis’s mother Ayla Azm was at work when she got the news he had been taken to hospital. Medical teams had taken Enis first to Köyceğiz State Hospital and then to Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University Training and Research Hospital by ambulance.
Enis was transferred to Isparta. While the 20-month-old baby was being taken to Isparta Süleyman Demirel University Research and Application Hospital by helicopter, his heart stopped twice.
During the treatment in Isparta, doctors said, “Brain death.” Despite saying that, little Enis did not give up and after a while, the little hero showed signs of life by sending signals from his brain. The tiny body of Enis, who fell into a coma, was released from the intensive care unit last week after being in a coma for three and a half weeks.
