ATATÜRK Society UK (ASUK) organized an online panel for ’30 August Victory Day’ on Sunday, 29 August.
The online panel organized by ASUK was held via Zoom, featuring guest speakers and artists attending the event academician and writer Dr.Orhan Çekiç, retired Amiral Türker Ertürk, researcher and writer İlknur Güntürkün Kalıpçı and Utku Erişik. As well a performaces from theatre artist and writers Büşra Kayı Tarhan, Zafer Cınbıl and Alaturca Connection.
In a statement, ASUK Chair Jale Özer said: “In the 30 August Victory Day Celebration Program organized by ASUK, on Sunday, August 29, we explained the road to the Great Offensive, the battles won with difficult and great impossibilities and their results; the extraordinary struggles of our heroines and children in the War of Independence; Explaining the historical, political and economic importance of the August 30 Victory and why our Father’s name is not used in the celebrations by trying to make this victory forgotten, with the current political situation; Our invaluable speakers, who shed light on our struggle for enlightenment by making us brainstorm with Nazım Hikmet’s poem Kuva-yı Milliye Epic, making us think and explain this great victory, to which we owe everything, with different analyzes: our esteemed teacher Dr Orhan Çekiç, our esteemed Türker Ertürk We would like to thank our Admiral, our valuable teacher İlknur Güntürkün Kalıpçı and our valuable artist Utku Erişik.
