32-year-old fatal stabbed in east London

A murder investigation has been launched after a man was fatally stabbed in Leyton, east London.

Police were called at 4.31pm on Sunday, August 22 following reports of a stabbing in a house on Lea Bridge Road.

Officers rushed to the scene along with London Ambulance Service paramedics and the London Air Ambulance and found a 32-year-old man with life-threatening injuries.

He was treated at the scene before being transported to an east London hospital. He was pronounced dead shortly after arriving.

An investigation is underway but there have been no arrests at this stage.

Gerry Campbell MBE, a former detective chief superintendent at Scotland Yard, tweeted: “Terrible news again as another person is stabbed to death in #London #WalthamForest. This afternoon a 32 year old man was stabbed in #Leyton and died at hospital.

“Truly tragic news awaits loved ones and friends.”
