The traditional breakfasts of the Göksunlular Social Solidarity and Culture Association, which has been operating in London since 2017, have re-started.
The association which attaches special importance to youth and education in London organizes breakfast every Sunday in the association buildings in Enfield, have once again welcomed its members through the door for the Sunday breakfast event for the first time since the pandemic.
As England move along its stage out of lockdown the association has taken step towards re-starting their breakfasts normalization process in England.
Özgür Aksu, who was elected a Chair of the Göksunlular Social Solidarity and Culture Association in 2020, is also the current Chair of Gaziantep FC who are in the 1st League of the Turkish Community Football Federation (TTFF) and has been a coach for 2 years at Göksun Spor, which plays in the 2nd League.
Speaking to the Londra Gazete, Aksu invites the members of the community to join the breakfasts organised saying:
“Göksun Association has started its breakfasts, we rolled up our sleeves to serve the community. We offer a great social atmosphere with our breakfast varieties from our own culture, and the opportunity to satisfy each other’s longing for social interaction. Most of us haven’t been able to visit our hometown for a long time due to the pandemic, so we have a great environment to talk about holidays Turkey over breakfast and more. For unity and solidarity, we invite not only the people of Göksun but all of our community members to our breakfast.”
The breakfasts will be taking place every Sunday at 10.30 am at the Göksunlular building at Great Cambridge Rd, N9 9LE.
