The Ataturk Society UK (ASUK) has organised an online panel dedicated to the 19 May Commemoration of Atatürk, Youth and Sports Day.
The panel held by ASUK will be taking place on Wednesday, May 19 at 7pm on Zoom.
ASUK Chair Jale Özer said: ‘‘ One of the most important features of a nation to be a nation is that it has a common history and common destiny. The people of Turkey, under the leadership of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, started the War of Independence with the understanding of either independence or death against the imperialist forces of the period on May 19, 1919, and showed a great military success on 30 August 1922, creating a miracle and claiming the homeland.
As the Ataturk Society UK, we will celebrate the 19 May Commemoration of Atatürk, Youth and Sports Day with our people live in a digital environment due to the conditions of the Coronavirus pandemic.
In this celebration, we will bring together dear guests of honor, our speakers and artists. ”
The panel will have guest incudling, researcher author İlknur Güntürkün Kalıpçı, Gedik University Faculty Member Assoc. Dr. Orhan Çekiç, E. Admiral, Researcher Author Türker Ertürk. The artists who will participate in the panel are state artist and pianist Gülsin Onay: musician Özgür Kıyat, Wolfgang Amedus Mozart award winner Ali Insan and Virtuoso & Belcanto Violin Competition award winner Ezo Dem Sarıcı.
