Prince William has said his family is not racist and he has not yet spoken to his brother since Harry and Meghan’s interview.
“No I haven’t spoken to him yet but I will do”We are very much not a racist family,” he said after a question from Sky News.
And when asked if he had spoken to his brother yet, the Duke of Cambridge replied: “No, I haven’t spoken to him yet but I will do.”
The Sussexes made a series of claims about their time as working royals during the two-hour interview with Oprah Winfey which was broadcast in the UK on Monday night.
These included claims of racism in the palace were a family member questioned “how dark” their son would be and that the couple felt unsupported by the Royal Family.
Meghan also spoke out that she felt suicidal and when she asked for help regarding her mental health from “senior people” she was not given it.
In a statement, Buckingham Palace response, promising to “address” the “concerning” allegations, in particular claims another royal had raised “concerns” with Harry about Archie’s skin colour before he was born.
However, made clear that this was handled by “the family privately.”
Responding to questions from Sky News reporter Inzamam Rashid Prince William who was visiting at school in east London with his wife today was asked whether he had spoken to his brother since the interview on Sunday’s broadcast, he said: ‘No, I haven’t spoken to him yet but I will do.’
Rashid followed with ‘Is the Royal Family a racist family?’ the Duke of Cambridge turned back to reply ‘We’re very much not a racist family’.
