With mass events had to be cancelled or postponed, without exception, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, which negatively affected the whole world. The Turkish and Kurdish Community Solidarity Centre Day-Mer had to pause its courses and activities in which hundreds of people actively participated, as of mid-March 2020.
In a statement made by Day-Mer, the course and events are starting to continue online. Saying: ” Within the scope of the cultural and artistic activities Day-Mer started every September as of September, besides the courses open to the participation of children, youth, women and adults, there are quite a lot of activities such as interviews, concerts, movie screenings, live theatre performances, festivals and nights events that drew attention were being held. We hope and wish that we will regain the “those days” that we all longed for in a short time. Day-Mer is entering the new year with plans that will allow the organization of new events and activities to enable us to realize our time, talents and hobbies while waiting for the ‘those days’ that we wish to meet again.”
A number of free classes are now available in addition to these complete courses, saz, guitar, piano and violin courses, which started as of September, are still open to participation.
