Turkey announces “Safe Tourism” as it gets ready to welcome holidaymakers

Ambassadors in Turkey that has a high number of citizens that visits the country as a tourist where invited to  Anatyla by Republic of Turkey Ministry of Culture and Tourism over the weekend to experience the new measures carried out as the country gets ready to open its tourism with the “ReTurkey” program. 

Turkey’s Minister of Tourism and Culture Mehmet Nuri Ersoy showed guest round so they were able to understand and see first hand the new measure that has been put in place so citizens travelling from there country are protected and they prepared to welcome holidaymakers while dealing with Covid-19.

Turkey is the first country in Europe to launch a safe tourism certification system and in Antaya, one of the most visited cities in Turkey, Ambassadors were able to see first hand the “Safe Tourism” measures taken by Turkey,

Ersoy underlined that “Our Safe Tourism Certification Program is among the firsts in the world in several
respects.” 

Adding that the program allowed them to show how seriously Turkey took the issue of safe tourism,
Minister Ersoy continued: “We would like take this opportunity to remind our guests that we will be looking forward to welcome their citizens to Turkey after the resumption of international flights. Observing the positive impression made by the measures we have taken on our guests further confirms the expediency of
our Safe Tourism Certification program.”
