“Valuable Members of the Turkish Cypriot Community in the United Kingdom,
Dear Youths,
Today is the 101st anniversary of the day when the national will, spirit of unity and togetherness and a strong sense of belief was born. The Glorious Liberation Struggle of Anatolia has acted as an inspiration for the Struggle for Existence of the Turkish Cypriot People.
Dear Youths,
Youth means energy, new ideas, dreams and courage…
For this reason, our country is greatly enriched from your energy and enthusiasm, thoughts and ideas as well as courage in the fields of science, education, economy, arts and many others. Your determination and commitment will steer our country towards better tomorrows.
While commemorating Atatürk and his brothers in arms with respect, I wholeheartedly wish everyone, particularly our youths, a happy 19 May Commemoration of Atatürk, Youth and Sports Day.
In hopes of carrying hand in hand, heart in heart and with pride our country to a brighter future, I offer my sincere wishes to you all.”
