The £105m EuroMillions jackpot has been won by a UK ticket holder.
Just over a month after another unnamed UK player claimed a record £170m prize, a similarly life-changing sum has been secured on what is the 25th anniversary of the first National Lottery draw.
It is the fourth time this year a EuroMillions ticket bought in the UK has scooped a nine-figure prize, with an unknown winner claiming £123m back in June and a couple from Northern Ireland winning £115m in January.
Other jackpot wins for UK players in 2019 include Ade Goodchild, who banked £71m in March, and an anonymous contestant who bagged £38m in April.
The winning numbers this time were 08, 10, 15, 30 and 42 – and the Lucky Star numbers were 04 and 06.
Andy Carter, senior winners’ adviser at the National Lottery, said: “On our 25th birthday, one very lucky ticket-holder has scooped tonight’s entire £105m EuroMillions jackpot.
“Players across the country are now urged to check their tickets to see if they have won big. Tonight’s big winner has scooped the sixth EuroMillions jackpot banked in the UK this year.”
Since the first-ever draw on 19 November 1994, the National Lottery has paid out more than £71bn in prize money.
It has also raised £40bn to support thousands of projects and charities across the UK.
