DETECTIVES investigating the fatal stabbing of Cheyon Evans, 18-year-old man in Wandsworth have made a number of arrests.
The teenager was found critically injured at Deeside Road, Wandsworth, at 4.42pm on Friday and was pronounced dead at the scene shortly after.
An un-named 20-year-old man was arrested on Monday, 17 June on suspicion of murder and has been taken to a west London police station for questioning.
A 17-year-old boy from Merton and Mohammed Nadir Dafallah, 18 (27.04.01) of Wandsworth were charged on Sunday, 16 June with the murder of an 18-year-old man who was stabbed on Deeside Road on the afternoon of Friday, 14 June.
Four other people – aged between 16 and 19 years old – have been released under investigation.
An incident room is open under the Homicide and Major Crime Command and enquiries continue.
A post-mortem examination took place at St George’s Hospital on Sunday, 16 June and gave the cause of death as a single stab wound.
Officers from the South West Command Unit will continue to patrol the area and will be on hand to speak with local residents as the investigation continues.
