Civan Terbas
In the young parliamentary elections held in Westminster city council, Civan Terbas was elected as the “Young MP”.
Every year in the UK parliament is elected by young people between 11 and 18 years old. Young people’s vote among themselves in the elections this year, 1800 people voted.
This year a young Turkish student has become the New Westminster Youth MP, Civan Terbas was elected alongside the deputy youth MP Isaac Saliu.
Just 13 years old Civan is studying at St George’s Catholic School, in Westminster London. At this time in the UK Youth Parliament, Civan Terbas and his friend, who will serve to bring young people’s troubles and search for production to parliament, will be in interaction with the council to convey their problems to parliament. Speaking to Londra Gazete Civan said: “I feel very excited, I am very excited to be a young member. From now on, I will work hard to deal with young people with problems and to be their voice. I would like to thank my family for their support to me since the beginning of the process.”
