Edmonton Labour Party greets summer

Edmonton Labour Party organised a summer garden party with took place at British Alevi Federation on Sunday, 15 July.

The Enfiled Council leader Nesil Çalışkan, Labour Party councillors and members of the community attended to the garden party and enjoyed the warm weather accompanied by barbecue and ice cream.

Ahmet Hasan Enfield council member stressed the significance of such events as a way of gathering together and accumulating both motivation and income to the Labour Party. Ahmet Hasan further stated:

“I have been organising such an event for the Labour Party for many years. Our aim is to bring together the members of the Labour party and our community members. Hence, more importantly, providing an opportunity for our people to meet their councillors too.  We also want our younger generation to be more active in politics and more aware of what’s going on in their area. İts vital to be informed about the activities pursued by representatives also for our young people to dominate topics such as education, environment, and health. If there is a bad management, our people must be able to notify us and especially we expect our young people to be more involved.
