The Association of Turkish Women in Britain (BTKD) held a meaningful ceremony on Sunday, 24 June whereby the non-governmental organisation made significant donations to Turkish schools in England.
BTKD donated a total of 6,500-pound BTKD donated a total of 6,500 pounds to Ali Riza Değirmencioğlu, West London, Bickley, Grange Park, Rauf Raif Denktaş and Waltham Forest Turkish School.
The opening speech was made by the BTKD President Maviş Fuchs, who welcomed all the guest for attending to the event and noted that since the establishment of BTKD, the association has been very supportive towards education and will continue to pursue the same support, she continued:
We would like to make a contribution to all our school administrators and teachers for their great efforts and sacrifices towards our schools and students. I would like to thank everyone who has portrayed support for our association, inclusive of our Honorary President Esra Bilgiç Turkish Bank UK and various businessman. Thus, I would like to express our sincere thanks to our valued members with love and respect.”
