The Consul General of Turkey in London Çinar Ergin hosted a general iftar meal which civil society representatives and members of the press attended.
The iftar was hosted by the Consul General Çınar Ergin and his wife Deniz Ergin, the meal took place at the official residence, Knightsbridge district of London, on Friday 18 May. Consul General made a short speech before the meal and he drew attention to the important values of Ramadan which is unification, reconciliation, and healing. Ergin stated, “Today, more than ever the spirit of tolerance and unity is required. In many parts of the world, Islamophobia, anti-Islamism and racist stereotypes are common than ever. Just a few days ago, the atrocities of our Palestinian brothers deeply wounded all of us. About 45 people came together and the invitation came to an end after the collective photo of the memorial.
