Watches are banned from GSCE and A- level exams

WATCHES are being removed from students before taking their GCSE and A-level exams in aim to combat cheating.

Students have been to remove their watches before their exam in many cases the watches are pace on the desk but depending on the invigilators it can be demanded they are left outside the exam room.

The new regulation was announced last July but during the past weeks of this exam period is the first time it has been enforced by the Joint Council for Qualifications (JCQ)

It’s said that some universities have also imposed similar requirements.

Various watches explicitly marketed as cheating devices can be found advertised online, including on Amazon’s UK store. Some work by pressing a button to replace a graphical representation of a watch face with uploaded text, but others have no digital display and work by playing audio to a small earpiece via a Bluetooth connection.
