THE LIMASSOL Association UK, which has supported many associations and NGOs in LONDON and has been actively promoting their work
, celebrated this time by organising a costume party for the 8 March International Women’s Day.
Sunday, March 11, 2018, the costume party organised by the Limassol UK Association took place at the Turkish Cypriot Community Centre in the Haringey district in northern London.
Around 100 women participated in the event dressed up as a fairy tale or hero character. The joy of the women during the event resulted in a wonderful and colourful atmosphere.
In a speech summarising the importance of the event, Arife Retvan, President of The Limassol Association UK, said:
“A woman shares her labour, her strength and shares her love. Sharing is in the woman’s dough and in her essence, a woman will never fear to share anything. A woman born with love becomes beautiful with affection, and it does not matter which outfit a woman is dressed up in because a
Retvan celebrated International Women’s day and thanked all the guests for attending such a meaningful and joyful event.
The Limassol Association UK members and guests who attended to the costume party shared cheerful moments along with DJ Ahmet’s and Erdan Tatlıses’s contribution with their music.
