A group of violent protestors organised a demonstration in relation to Afrika newspapers headline “Peace operation to cyprus, olive branch to Syria… Another occupation by Turkey” in regards to the Afrin operation.
The group of protesters assembled in front of the newspapers office and were waving Turkish and TRNC flags, demonstrators chanted slogans in support of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
The protesters threw stones and eggs at the office, breaking windows and attempted to enter the newspaper, forcing those inside to barricade themselves in.
The second demonstration the same evening was announced to take place in front of the African newspaper. However, at the same time, a demonstration of solidarity had been staged in front of Afrika newspaper thus, the protest took place further behind.

African Newspaper General Publishing Director Şener Levent came out of the building and gave a speech during the applause of the activists.
