AHMET Dobran, 82 years old, who suffered a vicious assault in Newham, East London while suffering from cancer and Parkinson’s disease, lost his life.
As the criminal investigation is still continuing as two of the three men known to have carried the violent attack on the elderly men are still on the run. The police, sharing images of the security camera records of the incident in the Newham, where the large Turkish community live, are still applying for the help of eyewitnesses to arrest the criminals.
The wounded victim was found to have broken his back in three places and had his gold bracelet and precious wristwatch stolen in the attack. After suffering severe injuries from the violent attack back in August, Turkish Cypriot, Ahmet Dobran was treated in the intensive care unit at the hospital, this injuries left him being medical induced into a coma for a number of weeks. He was later moved to a nursing home but sadly he lost his life in hospital on Monday 15 January after the incident had aggravated his parkinson’s condition.
He family of Dobran and his relatives are said to be “utterly devastated”. Policies are urging anyone with any information of the two men still on the run to come forward and contact them on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously via 0800 555 111.
