TURKISH Women’s Philanthropic Association of England (TWPA)’s is run a series of seminars on “Preserving Mental Health”. Friday, November 24th, which saw its last seminar on “Mental Health” presented by Psychiatrist Expert Mitchelle Basorun-Smith from North Middle Sex University Hospital. The seminar drew attention and they were an active participation at the event.
Psychiatrist Expert Mitchelle Basurun-Smith mentioned the importance of therapy in mental health for participants, he said:
“In the event of a disease, if your cells are taking measures against it, and if they are going to protect it, we sometimes actually do our own self-therapy to protect their mental health. For example, activities such as reading books, hiking, listening to music can comfort us. That’s the reason we actually did therapy for our mental health. Look at people, generally do not eat food, do not listen to music, do sports when their mental health is impaired, in short, they do not do the things they are happy with at normal times.
People whose mental health is impaired usually do not realise this. For this reason, pay attention to the observations made by your loved ones about you. Do not stop doing what you like. By this you will see that you will be more happy and more mature individuals. If you have a problem with yourself, do not hesitate to get professional support.”
TWPA President Ayşe Doğan said to my journalist that the seminars held by him were of great interest and that everyone could participate:
“Like all of our seminars, we had a very good seminar today. Psychiatrist Expert Mitchelle Basorun-Smith from North MiddleSex University Hospital gave important information on Mental Health. Our next event to be held on December 9th will be a presentation by Sevilay Kazim, expert of MiddleSex University Hospital, about long-term discomforts. I would like to thank all of our experts who attended our seminars, our management board, our members and our visit.”
