Conservative candidate Jasmine Storry selected for Southgate ward

WHILE the local elections expected to be held in May next year in England are approaching, the candidates of political parties have begun to become clear.

In Enfield, where the Turkish community lives extensively, the Conservative Party is intensively preparing local elections to come to power.

The Conservative Party, which added local politicians to ‘fresh blood’ as local elections, nominated Jasmine Storry, the only child of the Turkish mother and the British father, as a member of the City of Parliament from Southgate.

Jasmine Storry, who has been working with the Conservative Party’s Ashford Deputy Damian Green and the British Parliament for the past year and a half, has given the start to the local elections.

Explaining that she has been involved in active politics for the past last two years, Storry argued that the Labour Party did not fulfil the promises they made to the people of Enfield. Storry criticized the local Labour led government “the Labour Party, which failed to fulfil its promises, saying that the budget of the municipality would be directly related to the public and not to the services that would raise the standard of living.”

POLICE STATIONS CANNOT CLOSE
In her statement, Storry, who also targeted London’s Metropolitan Mayor Sadiq Khan as a target of criticism, said he would like to close the police stations in order to save money, rather than spend the money on security of the public. Storry, underlining that Sadiq Khan wanted to shut down the Southgate and Enfield police stations completely and restrict the people of the region to the Edmonton Green police station, restricting the budgets for police and security, warned the Labour Party’s police closure policy.

Storry, campaigning not to close both outposts with Stephanos Ioannou and Mark Sutters, who were nominated with her for the Southgate electoral district, called on the people living in the region to support the campaign.Storry announced, that the citizens of Enfield would be able to support their campaign by entering the ‘www.london.gov.uk/public-access’ site for ‘ Don’t close our police station’ campaign they launched for the security of the community.

 “CORBYN COMPARED TO AB”
Jasmine Storry claims that the leader of the Labour Party has misinformed the public to come to power, “Jeremy Corbyn has been against the European Union since the beginning, but he does not explicitly say it to voters. Corbyn turned to a propaganda campaign to ‘take a second referendum’ to get the votes of the Brexit opponents. But everybody knows that he is always a counter politician to the EU. But this situation is not open to the public, it misleads the public. ”

WE WILL BE FOLLOWING THE COMMUNITY PROBLEMS
Jasmine Storry added that she expects support for the election campaign and elections, stating that the problems of Turkey and the Turkish Cypriot community living in Enfield will be a follower if the local governor is elected.
