The Turkish Consulate based in London organised a special Eid picnic on Hyde Park bringing community together. The event saw dozens attending including distinguished guests like Northern Cyprus Representative Zehra Başaran and Consul General Çınar Ergin.
The event that was held to bring Turkish speaking communities together on a very special day like Eid, which encourages believers to hold on to meeting and gathering, highlighted the importance of love, solidarity and peace. The event also saw Turkish delicacies like ayran, stuffed meatballs and sarma. Consul General Ergin, said that these kind of events are extra special given their special way of attracting communities together and that’s one of the top reasons why consulates stand for – unifying communities.
“We are working for our community in London and on special days like Eid we always look forward to meeting faces from community, enhancing our bonds” said Mr Ergin.
Zehra Başaran also extended her good wishes over Eid and greeted the community. The event lasted for three hours over attendees enjoying the nice weather and treats.
