As a leading charity to help people with learning disability and autism, One-to-One Enfield has been asked to work on a new project to recruit people with learning difficulties and autism in Enfield to become representative members of Enfield’s Learning Difficulties and Autism Council. The aim of this project is to give a voice to people with Learning difficulties and autism at meetings that affect their lives
Talking to Londra Gazete, One-to-One Enfield representatives said:
“We currently have 10 elected representatives who attend regular monthly meetings at Community House. Our main aim is to make a difference to our local community through partnership working with the Council/Local Authority, Health Services, Transport and Leisure and other services.
“We are looking to recruit more people as representatives of the Enfield Learning Difficulties and Autism Council. We particularly need younger people from different ethnic minorities and people with multiple disabilities living in Enfield.”
