The Turkish Women’s Philanthropic Association (TWPA), organized an event for Mother’s Day on Friday, March 25 in north London.
The event not only celebrated mother but also remembered those that are no longer here.
Speaking to Londra Gazete, TWPA President Semahat Mustafa said: “We are proud to be one of the first associations established in England. Since 1970, we have been trying to deliver our aid to our brothers in both Turkey and the TRNC. I am proud to be the president of such a powerful association. The Turkish Women’s Philanthropic Association is an association that was founded in 1970 by the gathering of Turkish Cypriot women. The TWPA registration in 1975 had become a charity; Its main purpose was to provide practical and financial assistance to Turkish women and their families. We had a Mother’s Day lunch on Friday, March 25 at our TWPA building, we had a great day, thank you to everyone who joined us. Thanks also to everyone who prepared the food and desserts. Happy Mother’s Day to all women.”
