Justice for Turkish Cypriots Platform presented a letter to the British PM Theresa May over the futile process of Cyprus negotiations. Plaform’s representatives Ersu Ekrem and Chet Ramadan officially handed the letter in to the 10 Downing Street, stating that as a guarantor country, Britain should raise its voice over resultless progress of Cyprus negotiations.

Stating the importance of the letter, Mr Ekrem said:

“We cannot stand Turkish Cypriots being isolated and repressed with showing Turks as a guilty party and therefore we are here to raise our voice”

THE LETTER IS ON THE GREEK SIDE’S EXCESSIVE EXPECTATIONS

By also sending the copies to the Foreign Affairs Minister Boris Johnson and Transport Minister Chris Grayling, the letter stated that Turkish Cypriots will no longer support the “insufficient and biased” negotiations anymore.

Stating that The Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus’ leadership has been delicately working and thriving for a coherent solution to the negotiations, the negotiations remained futile due to the Greek Side’s excessive expectations and requests.

Reminding that Britain also remains as a guarantor country due to the agreement that was signed back in 1960 the letter said “Turkish Cypriots are expecting Britain to act non-biased to secure equal rights for the communities in Cyprus”

The letter also stated that should a plan B isn’t triggered, the Greek side shall continue exploiting the process.
