The Turkish Embassy in London has announced that passengers with special permits will be able to travel to and from the UK and Turkey.
This means Turkish citizens was foreign national with Turkish residency with be able to apply for a special permit allowing them to travel.
Upon arrive in Turkey a PCR test is required and a 7 day quarantine period must be carried out.
This comes after Turkey announced a ban on UK flights on Sunday night following concern over the new strain of coronavirus that had been identified it the UK government.
Over 50 countries have now issued new measures on UK travel.
Yesterday the UK Health Secretary also announced 2 more new strain that is “highly concerning” in the UK has now identified believed to be originated from South Africa.
