Centre for Turkey Studies prepares to mark third anniversary with a glitzy reception at London’s Grosvenor Square Marriot.
THE LONDON-based Centre for Turkey Studies organisation is preparing to mark its third anniversary on 28 April with a glitzy reception at London’s Grosvenor Square Marriot.
Preparations are well underway for the event, which will see British parliamentarians and politicians joining hundreds of guests from Turkey and Britain.
It will also feature the third annual Community Achievement Awards, which will be decided by a judging panel that includes Dr Teoman Sırrı, businessman Mustafa Topkaya, Councillor Yusuf Çiçek, director Sercan Erkaslan, public relations expert İpek Özerim, accountant Aysel Engüzekli, construction engineer Hasan Dikme and Ceftus director İbrahim Doğuş.
Mr Doğuş said the awards were designed to reward members of the Turkish-speaking communities for their hard work and provide them with an incentive for further achievement.
“We want to help those members of our community meet the influential politicians and directors of the country in which they live, thus contributing to integration and being role models themselves for future generations,” he said.
