“Heart-mending” behaviour from Turkish Restaurant in London

h2p1

A restaurant reportedly owned by Muslims wants to ensure ‘no one eats alone on Christmas day’ – and is offering free meals to elderly and the homeless.

Shish in Sidcup London will open their doors between 12pm and 6pm on December to serve three-course meals for free. As being an exemplar of Turkish benevolence and helpfulness, Shish Restaurant’s model behaviour became viral on social media very quickly, with many Internet users congratulating the restaurant due to its heart mending behaviour.

Diners will be served a Turkish meal including chicken shish or vegetarian casserole and rice pudding.

The move has been highly praised on Facebook and Twitter – with some local residents promising to dine in the restaurant to help them finance the free service.
