The Beyaz Show, named after its present Beyazit Öztürk, was recorded in Britain as part of the programme’s European tour.
Joining Beyaz on stage for the two-part, two-hour programme were his guests, Kubat, Bengü, Murat Dalkılıç and Ivana Sert.
Members of the audience spoke fondly of Beyaz’s warm-up act, when he was asked Turkish city names into the audience to find out where they were originally form.
When large numbers of the audience raised their hands to one city, Beyaz was heard to say, “Really, that many people from Kahramanmaraş? There can’t be that many people from Kahramanmaraş left in Kahramanmaraş.”
The programme itself was a colourful affair, with jokes about about Britain and the English language and performances from the onscreen guests. Music from Kubat in particular drew much acclaim.
