North West Turkish Citizens Association (NWTCA) celebrated the 29 October Turkish Republic’s Day with utter joy in Manchester. The republic’s 93rd anniversary led colourful pictures, with community embracing the cultural meanings of the day whilst relishing the come together.
Speaking at the welcoming ceremony, one of the senior members of NWTCA and also one of the founders of UK Turkish Folk Dancing Association, Altay Uysal delivered his welcoming thoughts to the guests. Whilst the music band kept playing the founder of Turkish Republic, Ataturk’s most favourite songs, the event promoted the standpoint of solidarity and togetherness. As the music feast carried on, the association gave the good news of a prospective Turkish choir’s inception process, for it to start operating in the following months.
The event that took place at the Istanbul Grill Restaurant in Manchester, guests decorated the whole venue with Turkish flags.
NWTCA Charity Trustees like Gülçin Bulut, Kürşat Uysal, Erdal Akçora and Mustafa Cebeci expressed their good wishes to the charity.
