A special reception for the 93rd anniversary of the Turkish Republic was held at the Turkish Embassy in London, with the ambassador Mr Abdurrahman Bilgiç and his wife’s hospitality.
A special reception for the 93rd anniversary of the Turkish Republic was held at the Turkish Embassy in London, with the ambassador Mr Abdurrahman Bilgiç and his wife’s hospitality.
Many distinguished guests like AKP’s Vice Chairman Mr Mehdi Eker, Ankara MP Senar Nur Çelik, Konya MP Ziya Altunyaldız, Kayseri MP İsmail Emrah Karayel along with many business people and guests residing in London attended to the event. Whilst the guests enjoyed the specially selected Turkish cuisine meals, Mr Bilgiç read the letter that was sent out by the President Erdoğan to the foreign representatives.
Tackling the victory against the past coup attempt in July, Mr Bilgiç said the resistance towards the coup attempt was noble and heroic, by also sending his condolences to the ones who died as martyrs at the coup attempt.
Reading Mr Erdoğan’s passage, Mr Bilgiç said:
“Today is our Repuplic’s birthday that was led by Mustafa Kemal Ataturk. Never giving in to captivity and oppression, our victory was led by the noble motto of Sovereignty unconditionally belongs to the people (of the nation)’. Our Republic is our heritage from the days of our thousands years of ascendancy on these territories as Ottoman Empire and Seljuq Dynasty”
Mr Abdurrahman Bilgiç, also published a message congratulating communities’ 29 October, by also referring to the events from the past coup attempt.
“As the big leader, Mustafa Kemal Atatürk’s heritage of enlightenment, modernism and territorial reconstruction, our republic is proudly celebrating its 93rd anniversary. In an era where we must tell our republic’s priorities and values to our children and pass our dignities on to the next generations, we must notice and be more aware the significance of solidarity, togetherness and laying claim to our values”
