“Everyone was ushered away in a mild but forceful manner from the Tube station and bus stops surrounding. At this point, at least five or six police cars swarmed the main road into Golders Green and made everyone go back. “For the next five minutes there was a lot of sirens and cars zooming past to the area of the tube station. They closed all the roads in the surrounding vicinity.”

Peter Hay tweeted: “Golders Green station and surrounding roads locked down by police.” Kerri Purcell said: “Literally the whole of Golders Green is being gradually taped up.” Another user named Rachel wrote: “Just passed through Golders Green station on another train; platforms are empty. Police outside stopping people and directing traffic.”

Mark Neighbour said: “They have closed Golders Green station. Tube and Bus. Closed all roads. Mass police and sirens going.” Daniel Sugarman tweeted a video from the scene and wrote: “Golders Green station currently closed off due to a suspicious package/vehicle.”
