The new exhibition “Fitpix” was launched with the attendance of Labour MP Catherine West.
Fitpix, which has been a joint course for mothers and their children to spend quality and enjoyable time through working out, had been going on for 12 weeks and the seeds have finally paid off. Mothers and children exhibited the pictures they had taken at Komkar’s community centre.
The launch that had a wide range of attenders comprised a special ceremony of Catherine West MP handing out the certificates. Then handing the certificates, West said “I do play tennis as well and I ultimately am aware how sports and working out should be a big part of our lives. Kurdish children are lucky to be born into a bilingual World where they sometimes need to make it 3 languages sometimes and this is a great brain-exercise.”
The exhibition will be on for a week from 10AM to 17.00 at Komkar’s Hornsey building. For further information on the second course’s intakes are we welcome to call Komkar at 020 8347 8669
