“Tilkililer” elects the new board of directors

Tilkililer Solidarity Charity hosted its 5. Congress with a true success.

The gathering that took place at the Selby Centre in Tottenham on 12 June, comprised some discussions and arguments in the light of past document and reports’ exposure.

Presenting his opening speech, HDP MP Müslüm Doğan tackled the significance of solidarity and unity, by remarking that Tilkililer has a great range of followers and a loyal community. Mr Doğan made it clear that Tilkililer should be appreciative and responsive to its community’s needs whilst operating. Mr Doğan than delivered his best wishes and luck to the administration.

Following Mr Doğan’s speech, Mehmet Doğan Yüksel Dede, highlighted the importance of Tilkililer’s healthy operation so that the community then can get responses to their needs. Offering new solutions to ongoing or past issues, the turnout in the end was able to obtain solid and accurate solutions to the bumps on the road. Turkish and Turkish speaking community oriented organisations like Day-Mer and Gik-Der also sent written statements to the event. Speaking on behalf of Day-Mer, Feyzullah Canpolat, brought up Day-Mer’s will to collaborate with Tilkililer to make sure there is a political, social and cultural unity amongst our community.

The meeting ended with 15 new members’ joining to the board along with 7 new people’s joining to the oversight committee.
