Emergency services rushed to the scene after man and a woman were knocked down in Amhurst Park this afternoon.
Paramedics took the pair, whose ages are not known, to hospital, one as a priority, London Ambulance Service said.
Police said the moped rider, who stopped at the scene and was not arrested, also suffered minor injuries in the crash.
On Twitter, pictures emerged of a major emergency services presence in the area as traffic was brought to a standstill.
A huge police cordon was put in place along the road following the collision. A London Ambulance Service spokeswoman said: “We sent a single responder in a car, and an ambulance crew to the scene.
“The man was treated for a head injury and taken to hospital as a priority.”
A Metropolitan Police spokesman said: “The pedestrians’ injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.
“No arrests have been made and enquiries are on-going.
