Cllr Yasemin Brett, Enfield Council’s Cabinet Member for Community Arts & Culture said “The Mayor of Enfield and I, on behalf of Councillors, officers and residents of Enfield wish to express our sincere condolences to all the victims of the Orlando atrocity and their families, and extend our heartfelt sympathies to the dead and injured.
“This cowardly attack targeted people’s freedom, the freedom to choose one’s sexual orientation and the freedom to determine one’s way of life. Terrorism of any sort is completely unjustified and Enfield Council utterly condemns it and all crimes of violence. “We will be flying the Rainbow flag at Enfield Civic Centre as a mark of respect and solidarity for the victims of this appalling crime.” An online book of condolence can be found here: http://action.hopenothate.org.uk/page/s/orlando
