Oya Tuncalı said goodbye for good

Oya Tuncali, who has been the Northern Cyprus representative in London said goodbye as her duty is now finished in London. Many distinguished guests, her friends, press and diplomatic missionaries did attend the reception.

Hundreds of people descended in Oya Tuncali’s Office in Bedford Square, at the reception, Mrs Tuncali greeted everyone one by one. In her speech, she delivered her sadness for to be have to leave her colleagues and friends behind in London by saying “I have been on this duty since 2012 and I am proud to have been here in London, representing my country and getting on with my duties”

Turkey’s chief ambassador Abdurrahman Bilgiç also delivered his thankfulness to Tuncali, stating that her contributions shall never be forgotten.

Amongst the guests, were Turkey’s chief ambassador Andurrahman Bilgiç and his wife Esra Bilgiç, London Consul General Emirhan Yorulmazlar, Armament Attaché Colonel Mehmet Çalkayış, Councilors Nazmiye and Orçun Başaran, Lord Sharkey from the English Parliamentary, previous Cyprus representative Lord Hannay and many other Turkish, Cypriot and English distinguished guests.

At the event, famous jazz artist Atilla Huseyin and his team gave an unforgettable concert alongside Gabriel & Dario’s musical feast.

 

Replacing Ora Tuncali, Zehra Başaran will be taking over the representative role whilst Oya Tuncali returns back to Northern Cyprus for her new duty in the foreign affairs.
