The precious late Professor Tozun Issa, who has been an ultimate figure for the Turkish and Turkish speaking communities in the UK, is commemorated by his wife by dedicating a passenger bench in Shortlands Station in South London.
The precious late Professor Tozun Issa, who has been an ultimate figure for the Turkish and Turkish speaking communities in the UK, is commemorated by his wife by dedicating a passenger bench in Shortlands Station in South London.
Station managers Danny Hackett and Dee James, stated that it was such a sentimental moment to get the donations and delivered their gratitude. They said “Until now we hadn’t had a passenger bench in our station but now having a contribution through such a public figure’s commemoration makes us utterly proud”.
Late Tozun Issa’s wife Pembe Issa, stated that she will carry on her projects to immortalise Tozun Issa’s heritage. Mrs Issa also delivered her thanks to everyone who helped throughout the process.
