Meaningful suppoty from Tiles DIY

Tiles DIY had a meaningful sponsorship for YMCA North London’s annual Crouch End Fun Run & Festival, organised for orphan children.  The full day comprised sporting events with a festival of food and entertainment.

The programme for the day comprised 10 racing events – 1 Adult 10k and 9 Children’s 1 mile races. The day kicked off with the Adult 10k race, which started at 09.30, with over a thousand adult runners, heading over the start line, out of Priory Park, up Park Avenue and following a two lap route up and around the bottom of Alexandra Palace, finishing back over the Start/Finish line in Priory Park.

Running alongside these sporting activities was the Festival itself.  This ran all day and had a wide variety of food, fun and music for all the family. The food is a combination of hot and cold foods of different tastes and flavours, provided by local traders, there were soft drinks and an alcohol selling bar, located in a marquee with tables and chairs to provide cover for all weather conditions. The Festival Bar also was a recent feature, and is set up and run by Andy James, of Moors Bar, for whose generous sponsorship we are very grateful.

This year also the Music Stage started to host Live DJ act ‘Stick It On’, who provided entertainment all day, enabling Festival goers to become DJ stars for the day.

Children will be fully entertained with everything from Fun Fair rides to face painting, something for all ages. No one went hungry at the Festival as there was food to accommodate all tastes and appetites. There were also many retail stalls, as well as community and charity stalls from the local area. Murat Yurtseven, the director of Tiles DIY, said, “We’ve been sponsoring YMCA North London for their annual Crouch End Fun Run & Festival for 5 years and couldn’t be happier for it. As Tiles DIY we thrive to help and support our community not only through this sponsorship but by many more as well.”
