Zac Goldsmith asked for Turkish speaking people’s votes

1200x-1

Approaching, is the mayoral elections for London which will clearly start a new era for tackling London’s ongoing status. Zac Goldsmith, the Tory candidate, announced this statement below asking for Turkish speaking communities’ votes.

“The Turkish speaking community is incredibly entrepreneurial, running shops and small businesses right across London. As Mayor I will back those businesses with a special fund to deliver more free parking on London’s high streets, so it’s easier for people to support their local shops.

I also know that access to school places is a real issue for Turkish speaking families, and I am committed to identifying new sites for schools and making sure they get built.
I’ve worked with members of London’s Turkish speaking community on a campaign to make sure that Turkish GCSEs and A-Levels continue to be offered in schools. For me, it’s really important that young Londoners from these communities have a chance to learn about their heritage. And with your region’s economic importance set to grow, these language skills will be extremely useful to British businesses in the years ahead.
Because the Turkish speaking communities here in London will be vital to building the business and cultural bridges we will need with the emerging economy of Turkey
But my number one pledge to all Londoners is that I will work with the Government to keep our economy strong. A strong economy will mean I can deliver my Action Plan for Greater London, that’s more homes, better transport, safer streets and cleaner air – all paid for while freezing mayoral council tax.”
