KOMKAR will tackle anxiety disorders

Kurdish Advice Centre (KOMKAR)will be holding a seminar on anxiety-related disorders.

At the event that will be held at the KOMKAR centre, psychotherapist Mahir Guden will be the guest speaker of the day. The attendance will be free of charge  and will be starting off from 2 PM, on 24 April. The event will involve techniques and healthy information regarding overcoming anxiety and panic disorders, with recommendations given.

Mahir Guden’s Bio:

Born in Iskenderun, South Turkey, Guden immigrated to England in 1997. He first received his education from the Middlesex University and then had his Masters at then Southbank University. He then carried on his postgraduate at the Reading University in cognitive psychology. He took an additional education at City University London in digital film making and worked as a researcher in North London where Turkish community is very widely spread. Whilst his stay in North London he studied Turkish men’s mental health and suicidal ones’ status, by working with Lancashire University.

He has been working at the NHS as a psychotherapist and has published many articles regarding psychology and sociology.
