The Tories’ cuts to local authority funding are beginning to bite. This interactive map shows how it will affect where you live
Tory cuts to public services are hitting deprived areas the hardest, according to new research from the Labour party.

The party says the average cut to local government funding is around 16% across the country.

But Labour controlled councils are set to see their income drop by an average of 21%, compared to an average of 13% for Tory councils.

This means households in Labour-voting areas will see a drop of in spending of £340 – five times higher than Tory areas.
Jon Trickett MP, Labour’s Shadow Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government, said: “We need to elect as many Labour Councillors as possible to stand up against these unfair Tory cuts.”
