Tony Blair’s convert sister-in-law met with Syrian students

Previous UK President Tony Blair’s journalist sister, Lauren Booth, who is a convert Muslim went to Adana, Turkey to meet with Syrian University students to tell them how she converted in to Islam.

Booth met with the vice chancellor of Adana Science and Technology University, Aykut Gul, by later stating she is happy to be in Turkey. After answering students’ questions on campus, she then went to the University’s Turkish Education Centre (TOMER) to meet 50 Syrian students who are in the process of learning Turkish. In her speech on how she decided to convert in to Islam, she did anecdote a story of her visiting the Fatima al-Masumeh sanctuary and then being very impressed by it. She also stated that it has always been very impressive to her to see the Gazze resistance, in addition to her prior existing interest in Islam.
