IMECE Women Centre is a non-profit organization, which was established in 1982 by the initiatives taken by Turkish,Kurdish, Cypriot women. The centre aims to support women to overcome all sexist obstacles they face throughout their lives. For this aim, centre organizes certain events to help raise fund to be used for Imece’s purposes. On 18th of March Friday- IMECE organized a concert in London. Palestinian musician Reem Kelani and Kurdish Londoner musician, Cigdem Arslan have taken parts in the event. Children, women, men in all ages enjoyed the performances of the valuable musicians. The fund, which was raised during the event will be used for the upcoming IMECE projects.
IMECE expands to other minority issues as well. The centre acts in a comprehensive way, to act against all kinds of injustices in social interactions.
