Cypriot Turkish Community Centre at your service for 40 years

The Community Centre has been running for 40 years to support and enhance the lives of the Turkish community, living in London.

For this special annual celebration, members of the community, who have led lives afar from the country of their origin where they were given birth and raised, gathered on 25th of February-Thursday evening. The president of the association, Onur Ibrahim informed the participants about the projects and activities undertaken by “Community Centre”. In his speech Ibrahim reminded the progress they have made and expressed his hope for the community as a result of the improvements and enhancements within the building and the organization. Onur Ibrahim pointed out the importance of annual gatherings, stating that they help create a sense of community. He said the meetings ought to be conducted 3-4 times a year so that the Centre will be used in a more efficient sense. After expressing his satisfaction about the previous year, Onur announced their plan to let some rooms in the centre to make way for supplementary income.

The event was a success as both the hosts and the guests found opportunity to express opinions, which brought about new ideas.
