England Turkish Language and Education Consortium to organize a night of commemoration in the memory of Dr..Tözün Isa on Saturday, 27 February 2016, at 18.00-20.00. As a result of the board meeting, held with the attendance of all the Turkish schools, a committee was formed to specifically organize the commemoration event. Having stated the necessity of an event as such, the committee members said that they will do their best to organize an event worthy of Dr. Özün Isa, saying that “ His remembrance is not limited to this night only ,but it is to last forever”
Dr. Tözün Isa had an valuable contributions to education for the education community in England. He made great sacrifices to support the Turkish speaking communities throughout his life and supported the method of education in most of the Turkish schools. There are faculty members who declared their intention to attend the commemoration event, as well. The commemoration event, which will be held on Saturday, 27th of February 2016, will take place at Dr. Fazıl Küçük Turkish School South London
This special night will begin at 18.00 with a documentary screening based on his life, his works, books and his life. Tözün Isa’s wife, Pembe Isa, as well as his close friends and companions will give short speeches about their memories of Dr. Tozun Isa. The president of the Education Consortium, Kelami Dedezade, stating once again that everyone is invited to this event, underlined the importance of Tözün Isa, “ We will do all our best to have a night worthy of his name, The loss of Tözün İsa is a great source of sorrow for us, however we will carry on the legacy handed in by us through his books and his wisdom.”
