Among its various projects, Day-Mer is organising an event for Turkish speaking people in the aim of informing the public on the new benefit changes, which the organisation actively opposes.
Among some of the changes, Tax credit and the ever diminishing housing benefit is of great importance to the Turkish speaking community; Day-mer, making it a part of its mission to inform the public, took on board the responsibility in doing so.
These controversial measures, now opposed by Prime Minister D.Cameron’s mother and grandmother, will be communicated in this event, outlining the effects on the general public and their relation to the Turkish-speaking community.
Other areas of the subject matter to be addressed: Income tax, income based allowances, Disability allowance, Universal-credit, Child Tax credit, Employment and support allowance and others.
The event will take place at the London Community Centre (22 Moorefield Road, Tottenham, N17 6PY) on the 15th February, 2016, at 17.30; a second event will be held on the 16th of February, 2016, at the Day-mer headquarters (Former Library, Howard Road, N16 8PU0.
