Ahmet Ates’ poem book: out now

Poet and Journalist Ahmet Ates, has published his new book Diasporic Quartet, both in Britain and Turkey.

The book is made up of poems written by the London based journalist during 2006 to 2013.

“Diaspora is a phrase related to migration and being a migrant. The poems glimpse people away from their home, in foreign lands. Ahmet Ates expresses the religious and cultural melting-pot very well…,” Said introduction of the publishing company.

Who is Ahmet Ates ?

 Born in the super-hero region of Batman, Turkey, Ates attended the Haciteppe university, where he studied for a degree in sociology; now a pursuing a doctorate in the Centre for Cultural, Literary and Postcolonial Studies at SOAS. He has been working as a journalist in London since 2005.
