World Cancer Day: 4th February

Help For UK Cancer Patients Association’s (khyd: Kanser Hastalarina Yardim Dernigi) president, Ayla Derya, published a press statement ahead of 4th of February, World Cancer Day.

“As an organisation, we accepted the 4th of February to be world cancer day. Cancer is the most wide-spread serious illness among the public. Cancer is second to heart related diseases. Cancer is the name given to identify illness that cause cells in the body to act out of control.  Cancer is often caused by smoking and other chemical related consumption…[…]…

We have began to identify Cancer patients in England that are from the Turkish community; we provide psychological and interpretation services for people in need.  We also provide financial support: We raised £2000 in an event, which was given to Great Oldmond Street Hospital so it can be used to research cancer in children.

“The organisation suffers from not having an office that it can work directly from. Even though we tried many different things, we were unable to provide the organisation with its own office; one is needed to provide a better service for cancer patients. We would like to call upon any-one that would like to help us. Any Cancer patient or family member of a cancer patient can reach us on 07404256825. In the name of all cancer patients, I would like to thank all businessmen and members of the public for helping us.”
