“David Bowie has died peacefully today surrounded by his family agter a courageous 18 month old battle with cancer,” said a Statement issues by Bowie’s son, Dunca Jones (film director), in his social media accounts.
The singer, only just released his latest album, Blackstar – which contains only seven songs – on Friday, just last week. A great friend and important part of the singer’s life, Tony Visconti, on Facebook, said: “He made Blackstar for us, his parting gift.
“I knew for a year this was the way it would be. I wasn’t, however, prepared for it. He was an extraordinary man, full of love and life. He will always be with us.”
